I’M KirbY

…and I tell stories to sell stuff — products, ideas, change, impact. Since the early aughts, my stories have sold stuff via catalog, ecomm, brick-n-mortar, point-of-sale, retail packaging, content marketing and good old-fashioned print and TV advertising.

I’ve sold tons of stuff for brands like OtterBox, LifeProof, Robo 3D, AutoZone, K&N Engineering, Edelbrock Racing, Ransom Motorsports, and a bunch more you’ve never heard of.

And, I don’t stop at selling stuff — I sling it too. A practitioner in the dark art of brand identity and positioning, I get people to recognize, relate to and love your brand — so we can sell even more stuff.

On a personal note, my deluded sense of self is balanced by crippling insecurity. I studied engineering, English and communications at San Diego State University and other less-esteemed institutions, not that it matters now. In my free time, I enjoy telling stories to sell stuff.

What I do

Tell stories to sell stuff — products, ideas, impact and change.

What I don’t

Call myself, or anyone else, a guru, rock star, ninja, etc. — save for actual gurus, rock stars or ninjas. I don’t craft flowery prose, provide turnkey solutions, create catalysts, deep dive into synergies, take it offline, bring anything to the table, disrupt, or utter any other hollow fluff phrases that mean nothing and waste character count.

What THAT means

No bullshit for my clients or your customers. No banal clichés, hackneyed idioms or flim-flam corporate-ese. You get what you need — stories to sell your stuff.
